Josselin Amador

In November , the Patient Referral team met Josselin Amador, a 12 year old girl from Cantaranas whose vision is impaired due to cataracts.  Cataracts is the clouding of the normally clear lens of your eye. It is generally treatable but if left un treated for some time, it interferes with vision.

Josselin is the eldest of four children.  This 12 year old girl can be often found helping her mother with the chores.  She often has frequent spells of dizziness and blurred vision.

The Patient Referral team took Josselin to the Santa Lucia Eye Clinic and it was determined that Josselin's cataracts cannot currently be corrected through surgery.  The Patient Referral program's general fund purchased Josselin a pair of eye glasses for her condition.
