Nuestro Amo is approximately 40 minutes west of Penonome, the capital of

the Coclé province in western Panama.  After traveling along the

Pan-American highway for that distance, brigade groups will get off the

main highway to drive around 10 minutes into the interior of the country.

There is a great view of distant mountains as you approach Nuestro Amo.

Nuestro Amo has a very small health clinic near the community's school

that is staffed by a nurse assistant trained with very rudimentary skills.

Community Demographics

Nuestro Amo is home to about 250 people and has about 80 homes, with an

average of  3-4 inhabitants per home.  Nuestro Amo is primarily a Latin

community.

Brigade Site Information

With the cooperation of the Education Ministry and the local school director,

Medical and Dental Brigades host clinics in the community school. The

school consists of 8 classrooms, a playground, and a computer lab so we

have the ability to set up each clinic station in its own classroom.

Volunteers will see an average of 80-100 patients per day.
