Las Minas Medical Access
Las Minas is located in the Coclé province of western Panama, near the
province's capital, Penonome. Coming from Penonome, you must drive
through the small town of La Pintada into the hilly interior of Panama.
Public transportation from Las Minas is available to get to the health center
in Penonome, but Penonome's health center is only for those citizens that
are a part of Panama's social security system. This system is only available
to those with formal employment, which does not apply to many living in
Las Minas.
