Current Community Initiatives
The community had expressed a feeding problem at the school, as children often leave school to find food. In order to help this problem, the community requests that each child pays 1 GHC per month to help support a food program at the school.
There is no formal Hygiene and Sanitation committee in the community, but two people make announcements on the community's loud speaker approximately once a week. Topics they speak about include personal hygiene and latrine health.
One of our sponsored referral patients, Emmanuel, was identified at a previous clinic in Ekrawfo. If you are interested in finding out more information about Emmanuel or willing to contribute to his future please visit his Empowered page here: http://www.empowered.org/Emmanuel-Mensah
