Passionate About:

I elected to go on this medical mission trip to Honduras because I am passionate about helping others and ensuring that people have access to proper medical care. I am also a pre-optometry student and after graduation I will be applying to programs in order to become an eye doctor. I hope to go abroad again once I am an optometrist in order to give back and also teach students on the mission! I think our society tends to overlook those that live outside of the United States, but there are people that have never received basic forms of health care due to inadequate supplies or distance of travel to facilities. The fact that I have the opportunity to help someone in need and learn valuable skills in the process is priceless.
