After three semesters of college I have finally found a genuine answer to this question. I am passionate about education. As I study molecular and cellular biology I am continually amazed by the content conveyed in lectures. From the perspective of an aspiring health professional, it excites me to be able to use the knowledge I have gained and to take a step back to use it in the real world. Being able to go on this trip to Honduras and aid doctors and dentists serving underprivileged Hondurans will allow me to get a glance into applied science and, more importantly, extend a helping hand to those who need it most.
