Healthcare is something that everyone should be entitled to. My passion for aiding those in need and doing anything I can in my power to relieve their pain and help improve their quality of life is what drives me as a student and as a member of the brigades at William & Mary. My participation in this trip is so much more than just community service and "voluntourism;" this is about sustainability and I want to be a part of a program that will help teach families in Nicaragua how to maintain their health after providing immediate, necessary care and medications in a way that is easy for them to understand and suitable for their lifestyle so that they will live a better, healthier life even after we leave.
