My name is Rachel Brigham. I am currently entering my junior year in Castleton University’s nursing program. In my profile picture, I was approximately 2-3 years old. I remember this being the first time I was told about who nurses are and what they do. This is when my admiration for nurses began. While in high school, I had some interactions with Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurses, and their patience and compassion inspired me to pursue a nursing career, either as a PACU Nurse or Nurse Anesthetist. I am very excited to be participating in Castleton University’s medical brigade to Honduras. This will be a great opportunity for exposure to an unfamiliar area that has a high need for the help we can provide.
