Passionate about: My name is Alexis Grace and I am a sophomore here at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). I am a first generation student studying Pre:Medicine | Forensics Biology. I am currently a member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) as well as a member of the university TRIO program. I am also a member of the BGSU chapter of Global Medical Brigades (GMB). The goals in which I have set for my self are as such: Within the year of 2017-2018 I plan to travel to the country of Panama with GMB to practice medicine for a week on the citizens who do not have access to medical resources. I will be giving back to a community who has little to nothing when it comes to resources involving the health of the civilians. I also plan to continue onto medical school at Brody School of Medicine after my undergraduate years so that I may study to be an Emergency Room Surgeon. In the long run I hope to one day have the financial resources to open a free medical clinic for those who do not have healthcare and are very underrepresented in their community. Growing up as a child I have only ever wanted to be a doctor and help others less fortunate than me and that is why I have set these goals for myself.
